Pioneer men fall to undefeated Dyersburg State

The Vol State men faced the Eagles of Dyersburg State this past Wednesday (11/20) at home in hopes to obtain a winning record. However, the Pioneers became outscored by the Eagles 97-81 which resulted in the Pioneers second home game loss of the season. The Pioneers shooting percentages were below average for the team, however, leading in scored points against the Eagles pressive defense was #3 Austin Fisher (Clarksville Academy) with 15 points, followed by #14 Zack Morris (Hendersonville High) with 12 points, #2 Justin Goodson (Dacula High) with 10 points, #23 Lamarius Jackson (Oakland High)  and #1 Trey Radcliffe (Portland High) both with 8 points, #10 Jonathon Howard (Cane Ridge High) and #4 David Smith (Cane Ridge) both shared 7 earned points, #11 Taras Carter (East Lit. Magnet School) with 5 points scored, and #5 Brian Price (Memphis School of Excellence) with a 3 pointer to end the scoring rundown. The Pioneers extend their record to 3-4 on the season, and will travel to play against the 5-5 Motlow State Bucks this Saturday (11/23) at 4:00 p.m.
