Bucks Defeat Pioneers in Final Conference Series

The Pioneers traveled to Motlow State for their final TCCAA series.  In game one, the Pioneers jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, but the Bucks came back to score 3 before Vol St scored one to tie it at 3.  Motlow then scored 6 unanswered runs to take a 9-3 going into the 7th.  The Pioneers then started to mount a comeback thanks to 2 HR's from Dalton Pyzer and a solo HR from pitch hitter Jacob Messer.  Vol St was able to get within one run (9-8) and load the bases for pitch hitter Landon Godsey who hit a line drive at the CF to end the game and comeback bid.

Game two was tied 3-3 after 2 but the Bucks opened up the game with 6 runs in the 3rd and went on to win by a final score of 13-7.

Game 3 was a back-and-forth contest with the score tied at 7 after 4 but the Bucks were able to score 2 runs with 2 outs in the 5th and then held on to win 9-7 and sweep the series from the Pioneers. Jacob Burris and Dalton Pyzer (3rd of the weekend) homered for Vol State.
