Pioneers Defeated by Wallace State 81-61 and 97-59

The Pioneers opened the season against an Alabama team picked to win the championship.  The Wallace State Lions were too strong for the young Vol State team that has only four returning players on the 15-man squad.  Sophomores Terrance Cross, Antuan Rhodes-Williams, Brennon Marsh and Peyton West, all named captains, paced the Pioneers in the first two games.  However, the young bench will respond as the season continues.
