Pioneers Get Win at Motlow State
Vol State defeated Motlow State for the second time at Tullahoma 86-80. The Pioneers led 49-43 at the half and held off Motlow at the end as Peyton West hit 9 for 9 free throws to ice the win. The win pushed the Pioneers conference record to 5-7 and 8-11 overall. This is Vol State's 2nd conference road win of the season and they will go for number three Wednesday against the second-place team in the league, Columbia State (9-2).
Brennon Marsh, 6'8 post from Murfreesboro Siegel and 2nd team All-American Academic, scored a career high 23 pts, 15 rebounds, 4 blocks and 5 dunks. Jaylan Clemmons had 17 pts with 5 threes and Peyton West had 21 pts to pace Vol State. Beljwok Adiang, Gallatin HS graduate, had 7 pts off the bench including a layup late in the game. Isaiah Perry finished with 6 pts, Davion Moses 4 pts and Terrance Cross had 7 pts in a starting role.
