Pioneers Win Big

The Pioneers (2-5) (1-3 conf) beat SE Illinois 98-82 to put together a two game winning streak.  Tied at 40-40, Vol State took control of the game shooting 53% from the field and 24-27 from foul line.  Freshman Asa Hardyway (Hunters Lane) scored 30 pts; he made 12-12 from the free throw line, had 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals.  Terrance Cross (Blackman) 17 pts and Beljwok Adiang 13 pts, 6 rebs, 3 blocks and 3 steals.  Jaylan Clemmons (Ensworth) 14 pts (7-7 from foul line) and 5 assists.  Zivko Damjanovic finished with 13 pts and 8 rebs.  Also scoring were Avishai Lowery 2 pts, Daniel Bale 2 pts, Kaden Paul 3 pts, Mike Wallace 2 pts and Jabahri Mastin 2 pts.  Cooper Harris played but didn't score.  Next, the Pioneers travel to face #8 ranked Vincennes (9-0) on Saturday, November 26 and will play at home on Wednesday, November 30 against Dyersburg State.
